Question by Amanda T: Has anybody ever experienced any side effects with angels eye for dogs?

No, but I would stop using it. If she continues to throw up you will know it is not the product but something else.

At first Mike Moore thought he had the flu. But when his symptoms turned serious, he asked his son to take him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Watch the video to see how a small dog bite changed Mikes life and why he now says, “There’s good in everybody. And it’s just amazing how the generosity comes out.”

Question by bishi4me: Dog throwing up what looks to be blood, please help me!?
I just called my boyfriend and hes rushing home, hes on the phone with a vet. It takes him 45min to get home so i hope to get some information before he comes home. My german shepard was acting just fine, shes 3 years old and healthy. Suddenly she started gagging and before i got up she threw up and then threw up in a diferent spot. I ran her outside where she puked some more. When i came in to clean it up i saw it was dark red. Its really chunky, and it kind of looks like a smashed up strawberry. It has little red balls mixed with the mass, that has some black in each of them. Odd thing is i just got really, really sick today with the stomach flu and have been throwing up+ diarrhea. Is it possible that we both have the same thing?! Theres nothing red around the house she could have eaten, and she hasn’t eaten all day.

Please dont say “Go to the vet!” because my bf is trying to get a hold of one now i just would like to have some answers fast.

Question by Mommy of 1.5: Dog’s tail bleeding bandage/put pressure on?
While I was cleaning up a mess on the floor I put my puppy outside. When I let him back in the tip of his tail was bleeding. My husband is going to have to leave work to take him to the vet (my toddler and I both have the stomach flu).

The vet recommended that I put pressure on the tail if possible, how would I do this? He cried when I cleaned it, I tried to bandage it but don’t want to stick a bandaid on as with all that hair it might make things worse. He ripped off the gauze I taped on with the stuff from the first aid kit.

Please don’t suggest I run to the store, I can’t go out right now, and my 2 year old really can’t.

Best answer:

Answer by BMTHESPIAN
Just apply steady preassure with gauze or a clean cloth until your husband gets home to get him to the vet. He may cry or struggle a bit but you need to get the bleeding to stop.

Just a word of warning be prepared for the potential that the tail will ultimately need to be amputated at least partially. Tail wounds are very difficult to get to heal properly due to the dog banging them into things etc. and may result in the tail having to be amputated to prevent infection.

take about 1 tsp – 1 tbsp every other day for immune boosting power on a regular basis. If you are sick right now, take up to 1 tbsp 3 times a day for up to 3 days and you will recover quickly. This video is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease (BLAH BLAH BLAH) www.youtube.com take about 1 tsp – 1 tbsp every other day. www.true-colloidal-silver.com Peer reviewed studies prove silver ions perfect safety and effectiveness against single celled organisms and that silver ions enhance tissue repair. The medical establishment goes as far as to publish bogus research attempting to dissuade public from cheap effective solutions for their health. QuackWatch is supposed to be a consumer watch dog entity and would have you believe that argyria (bluing of the skin) is caused by colloidal suspension of silver ions. According to quackwatch there have been seven cases of argyria (two confirmed) and the most infamous case was result of using nose drops of unidentified silver compounds or silver nitrate. Meanwhile antibiotic overuse puts hundreds of millions at risk world-wide. There is very little published colloidal silver research per se; HOWEVER, silver ions (Ag+) are the active ingredient in colloidal silver and there is PLENTY of research on silver ions world-wide. Therefore these peer reviewed silver ion research studies should be viewed as substantially similar to what would be colloidal

Question by stephylv84: Can Animals Catch a human flu?
So my whole family is sick. Me my husband both my kids, we have vomitting and diarrea gross i know. My house is a mad house right now. last night we went to bed and my Giant size dog (great pyranesse) who never goes potty in the house and is very well trained. Had the sqirts all up and down my stairs and walls. Did he catch this from us or is it just one of those random weird things to make my life harder…..lol
Thanks for the info the only thing is this hasnt been a 24 hour thing my daughter (18 months) has been sick for almost a week. Me i’m finally over it after 4 days, my husband was sick for 2 days and got fely good for 2 days and now started up again and my son (7yrs) is now on day 3?? And of course the dog about 2 days too….I have been constantly wipeing things down with clorox bleach wipes and lysaling everything (i dont thing the smell of lysol will ever go away….lol) washing hands boiling toys, sippy cups, washing blankets and pillow cases everyday. 1: You don’t have the flu, you have Norwalk virus.
2: No, canines cannot contract human flu viruses visa versa
3: Poor you! lol dealing with kids and the dog (let alone one as big as he is) you are brave! haha

Here are tips on preventing it in the future:

“Norwalk virus”
(Just remember that hand sanitizers will not kill this virus.House hold cleaners such as Lysol will also not kill you.You must use bleach.)

The Norwalk virus causes viral Gastroenteritis which is known as the nasty 24 hour bug that causes explosive and sudden diarrhea and projectile vomiting.Usually non life threating but can cause complications in the very young, elderly and those with compromised immune systems.

PREVENTION-Wash your hands before preparing food/eating food and most importantly, TOUCHING YOUR MOUTH/NOSE/EYES.

The ONLY way to become infected with this virus is if you ingest the contaminated fecal/vomit particles through your eyes, nose and mouth.

It is impossible to “breathe” in the virus BUT possible to become infected by breathing in aerosol “spray” droplets from someone vomiting right next to you.(the droplets settle within minuted but can still infect someone until cleaned with bleach)

Even if your whole family breaks out with this virus, you can prevent it by washing your hands for at least 15-20 seconds with warm water and soap.Remember that you are not killing the virus, you are washing it down the drain even if you use an antibacterial soap (which only kills bacteria, not viruses) hand sanitizers are also not successful in killing the virus.

If a member of your family comes down with the virus, let them know to wash their hands AFTER a bowel movement and vomiting.

To clean infected areas, clean with BLEACH.Clean bathrooms (all infected areas) with a bleach solution as soon as possible and be sure to prevent cross contamination and wash your hands afterwards.Especially children! wipe down all commonly touched objects like door knobs, faucet handles, light switches, toilet flushers etc.

People are STILL contagious even after 24 hours after their symptoms settle down so it is always important to wash your hands after the rest room (which you should do anyways!)

The key to staying Norwalk virus free is to keep sanitary.Wash your hands after using the bathroom…you could prevent other peoples misery as well as yours!!

Myths

It is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to get infected in any of the following ways:

1. Being “near” someone who has it, including co-workers or friends
2. Being on a plane with people who have it
3. Breathing the same air as someone who has it
4. Being in the same building as someone who has it
5. Walking past a pool of vomit on the floor, road or sidewalk
6. Through having sexual relations with an infected person
7. Through a cut in your skin
8. Through your rectum or genitalia (as in, on a toilet)
9. Kissing someone who is not yet showing symptoms (note: it may be possible to catch it from someone who has recently vomited by kissing them, as viral particles may be in their mouth from vomitus. But the virus is NOT transmitted through saliva)
10. Number 6, above, applies similarly to sharing cups or utensils with someone as well.

TIPS:Do not share any cups/plates/utensils with an infected person and be sure to wash in a bleach solution to prevent cross contamination with the rest of your family.

Good luck and stay healthy.
