how do you tell? what’s it like? sneezing? fever?
is there “flu shot” for dog?
how do you take care of it at home? without visiting Vet.?
i resent going to vet for everything…

Yes.
But it’s more likely called Kennel cough.
They tend to cough all day non-stop, and it should be treating fairly quickly because it can lead to something worse than before.
Dogs can be susceptible to viruses just as humans but they do not catch a cold like humans. The “colds” they catch can be much more deadly to them than the colds a human would catch. And, NO, they cannot be passed from human to canine if you are wondering.

Dogs cannot catch the same cold virus that people get. Dogs can have their own health issues that would look like a cold.. Kennel cough, etc.

Yes, both the common cold and the flu are transferable across species (vicious little blighters, aren’t they) Remember the flu can kill, not often TG , so keep a close watch.
