can dogs get the flu from each other?

I’m not too worried that my dog threw up, she is eating and drinking and has lots of energy. But My other dog puked twice yesterday (she seems fine now) and my friend’s dog (who watched my do 4 days ago) was apparently puking a couple days ago too. they all seem OK, just wondering if they can get sick from each other like people do?
I’m pretty sure they didn’t eat anything, as the two dogs besides mine were never together anywhere!

Dogs don’t catch the “flu” like people do. If you are sure it’s not something they ate or somehow ingested, they probably have contracted some other type of illness that they can pass to one another.
