can dogs get the flu??? like a human?

my golden retriever has been sick for two days.. and i have the flu at the same time, i am wondering if she has caught somthing from me… is that possible?
is there anothing i can do to help her…. like give her somthing… because she is throwing up… frothy spit/brightyellow stuff.

There is a dog flu but it is caused by a different virus than human flu. Not related, but you should take her to the vet.

No, dogs can not catch human colds. Sorry your dog is sick! Have you taken him to the vet? He needs treatment- don’t use anything for humans.

But get somebody to take the Goldie to the vet for you to get a proper diagnosis and medication.
Then both cuddle up together in a comfy spot and hold hands.

dogs can get pretty much any disease that humans can. Wich it is why u should get them checked normally!!!

Oki yah n no there is a dog flu,but it is coused by a different virise it’s not cought by humans…Take him to the vet when you get better or have someone take him for u!

Yes, but it is different from human colds/flus.
Whenever my dog escaped the yard and was picked up by animal control he would always have what was called ” Kennel Cough” and would need a couple of weeks of doggy anti-biotics. I’m sure there are other similar respiratory ailments that dogs can get.
