I have not had any contact with people for weeks nor been anywhere public but now I am feeling really sick with fever, runny nose and coughing. I’ve also not had the flu or cold for years.
The only contact I’ve had is with my dogs…. they licked me all over my face this morning while I was gardening on my knees and I had to contantly push them off me. Now I am soooooooooooooo sick.
So is it possible??????

After researching it is believed that dogs can get the flu from humans and vice versa. Canine influenza is not the same as the flu that we get.

No. People are not susceptible to the same flu viruses as dogs.

Dogs cannot transmit the influenza virus to humans; I honestly don’t believe dogs can even contract influenza.
The virus lies dormant in your body before you start to show symptoms; coming into contact with the virus this morning would not be making you sick now.
