There is no such thing as a “teacup Chihuahua”, but I’m leaving that phrase in the title because that’s how I get all my views. This so-called “teacup” turned out to be HUGE and FAT as an adult dog, so don’t believe the nonsense about “teacups”. They are just runts, but they could easily grow up to be normal sized. —————- This is my 9 week old female Chihuahua. She’s only 1 pound and 2 oz and I bought her one week ago. I took her to the vet on 05/20 and she was diagnosed as having parasites and worms. The vet gave her a LOT of medicines and treatments. Here is the rundown of all the different meds. The vet gave her a shot of Pyrantel Pamoate for pinworms. The invoice says “Qty 2 – Pyrantel Pamoate (Strongid). He also gave her a partially used bottle of Albon 5% oral medication for parasites, which I was to continue giving to her until it ran out. She has taken the medicine for 5 days now. I’ve read online that 5 days is the normal length of treatment so I am not giving her any more of it. I read online that you are supposed to shake the Albon very well before using it. The vet did not tell me that. He also didn’t bother to tell me about any side effects that could occur, although there are several. He also gave me a small tube of Advantage Dog flea treatment (ointment) that I was instructed to rub between her shoulder blades. The tube says that it is for dogs under 10 lbs. I asked him if I should use the whole tube considering she is only 1 lb. He said yes …
She has gotten worse since this video. The vet said all we can do is watch her tonight. If she runs any fever during the night the will treat her for menigitis. If no fever happens before Monday, they will treat her for a seizure disorder.
This is my baby at 3 months old laughing and the fun was interrupted by a huge siberian husky LOL Friends, I dont allow the dog in the baby’s room because my baby has been sneezing a lot and the dog shakes and sheds a LOT, He also likes to chew on baby’s toys! Someone took my 11mo. old and i just got him back. A couple of days later he was had a fever and he was gon for 2mo. I have been bathing him in cool water and giving him todler tynal. After i do that he is ok, but i need to know if it is ok to keep giving him the meds for the fever and how long he might have the fever?

Answer by Holly NO! Tylenol is toxic to dogs.
Talk to your vet. They may say you can give her baby aspirin, but you NEED to talk to the vet first to make sure it’s ok for your specific dog and dosage instructions.

I recently posted a question and only got one answer, and im getting worried, im stay so tired all the time, i sleep ALL the time, but its not even sleep, i lay there restless, i dont have the energy to move, but when i get up i don’t have the energy to stay up. I can’t do the simplest of chores anymore, I can barely do anything without feeling like im dying. It almost feels like when you have the flu and your body just aches. Im always restless, I lay in bed for hours without sleeping, and I’ll get up, and feel dog tired. Me and my boyfriend have to move into our new place by tomorrow, and im trying to help but im so tired all the time. Its scaring me and its so fustrating, i know this can’t be normal. Im wondering about being anemic? I know it is a serious thing. What are the symptoms? Should i go see a doctor in the morning? I’ve been avoiding iron because it makes me throw up so much. But someone told me that might actually be really bad, because im not getting any iron. Can some please tell me whats going on? Should i go see a doctor asap? It’s getting so bad i barely want to even eat.
I am taking the flintstone vitamins everyday. And trying to eat as healthly as possible. Just staying weak 24/7. It’s miserable.

Answer by imablazeofglory yes being anamic is bad for the baby and for you. you need to see your Dr. ask him if there is a different way to take Iron that maybe you can handle.
