Question by rene: Is it normal for a dog to sneeze every time its turned onto its back?
family hasn’t owned a dog in a while, so I’m a lil rusty. Just got my first dog. Every time i turn her onto her belly she sneeze’s is this normal? it doesn’t seem so to me. Does your dog do this?
I roll her onto her back when were playing or when I’m scratching her belly.

Question by Charlie Brown: why does my dog keep licking his back feet and then cough?
we got him from a dog pound and he had heart worm which he was treated for and cleared 7 months ago, he eats good etc., but he keeps licking himself and then coughing a lot. We thought maybe he had something stuck in his throat so we gave him bread with butter on it. He did sleep last night but we are concerned.

I rescued a dog that also had heart worm, and was treated. He is a lab mix and he never coughs.

What kind of food do you have him on? Dogs usually lick their feet due to allergies, and then I wonder if he is getting a hair in his throat or something?

I’m not sure, but if it is happening frequently and he is on good all natural food I’d take him to the vet to have him checked out.

Question by Michelle J: Why does my dog sneeze when she is on her back?
Sometimes when I’m playing with my dog, and have her on her back, rolling around and wrestling with her, she gets up real quick and sneezes 2 or 3 times. It seems to happen more often after she’s been laying on her back with her legs up in the air than any other time. Any ideas or personal experiences with the same thing?

no clue – happens to my dog too – everyone tries to tickle him cuz he makes grumpy noises but instead of getting up to sneeze, he sneezes into their face =)

On late 2009 it was releassed again on “BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME” bootleg by “Venus Productions” label. It’s a bokk with 2 CD’s. Anytime our dog comes and sits with us on the couch and lays on his back, he sneezes. He will only sneeze once a night. Should I worry or has this happened to anyone else?

my dog does this, too. in bed when we snuggle, he’ll roll on his back & if he’s there too long, he’ll sneeze. I think it has something about the muscus not being able to drain down his nose.

I am 18 years old. I found out i have HVP. I contracted it from my 22 year old fiancé. Seeing as he didn’t know he had it i am not gonna leave him over it. neither of us show any signs or symptoms of the virus. i read that over time HPV can be cleared from people with good immune systems. my question is. if we continue to sleep together are we just gonna keep passing it to each other or will our immune system build antibodies to the specific strand like it does the flu? to put it more simply. can you catch the same type of HPV twice? we are prepared to go the time it takes to make sure we are clear if need be but i heard it can take up to 3 years and i don’t want to tie the dog up if he’s not rabid so to speak

HPV is like mono and I wouldn’t be too worried about it as it is fairly common. Since it is a virus, It stays with you forever, but very rarely anything comes of it. In most cases of HPV, breakouts/symptoms only occur one or two times. Similar to any other virus like the common cold or cold sores. As a female, I would be only concerned about cervical cancer and would get routinely checked for it, as cervical cancer is really the only life threatening risk that can come of it. Cervical cancer can be easily treated as long as it is found.
