chapter 25 taylor: soph are you ok sophie: *cough**cough* ya *taylor looked over sophie she was beyond pale her eyes were blood shot and her cough sounded awful* *taylor put his hand on her forhead* taylor: soph your burning up im gunna get your dad sophie: uncle taylor *cough* please no taylor: sophie i need to sophie: im fine *sophie sat up a little too quickly and got dizzy so she had to lie back down* taylor: ya your perfectly fine sophie: please dont tell daddy i dont want to be stuck in bed all day taylor: soph i think thats just what you need right now *taylor went downstairs to joe* taylor: joe soph looks awful and shes burning up joe: o great its probebly from being out in the cold rain in shorts and tanktop taylor: ya well she doesnt want you to know shes sick cause she doesnt want to be stuck in bed joe: she hates not being active *joe grabs a themometer from the bathroom and they both go up to joes room to see sophie just laying in bed staring at the ceiling* joe: hey baby sophie: hey joe: what are you doing sophie: counting ceiling tiles joe: ill make you a deal if your tempeture is under 100° you can go to school sophie: ok *joe puts the themometer in her mouth and a few minutes later it beeps he takes itout and reads it* joe: 102.6 *sophie groans* joe: sorry sweetie *kisses her forhead* get some rest sophie: but its guuna be so boring joe: actually i have surprise for you you were gonna get it when you came home but now i guess youll get it a little earlier …

ok so i am sick and i have 3 cats and 2 dogs if i end up have the flu or swine flu would they be able to catch it from me?? can they catch human diseases at all??

Its not likely, but it is possible. A week or so ago, a cat died from swine flu. It was on the news.

No…cat and dog systems are different..so they work in a different way.and that means the germs the dog has might not effect the cats system. So don’t worry about it..trust me..=)

My cat I believe has cat scratch fever, I got it off the street as a stray 4 week old kitten, and have had it for over 4 months, recently I got a swollen lymph node, and was told it could be caused by CSF. This is a question you should be asking at the vet right now. Cats don’t get “cat scratch fever,” but they can get Bartonella henselae infections (though having symptoms is rare). There are a lot of other conditions that are much more likely to be causing your cat’s symptoms, none of which can be treated through the internet. Please get off the computer and take the poor thing to the vet.

As for your dogs, if your cat does have Bartonellosis it’s very very unlikely they can catch it, and if they do it’s probably not going to affect them in any way. But like I said, the infection rarely causes symptoms in cats. It’s much more likely to be a different species-specific problem.

The last 2 days it has been real bad, I am scared and think I should take him to the vet. What do you think.
He sneezes once in a while but makes the hacking noise alot in the last 2 days.

if she herself has been vaccinated against kennel cough, i doubt she will get it. if not, it might be very possible that she could get it from an unvaccinated puppy.

Well i see its shark week and i have a few questions.
Because dogs can get the flu or cold (i think) i was wondering if sharks can get any disease or cold or flu of any kind.
