Last night my mini american eskimo got into the trash and and ate some bad chicken. She’s had diarrhea and may possibly has a fever. There are no vets open today. What can I do to help my little moo…? I heard peptobismal may help and some gatorade. How much pepto she is 20 lbs.? I that okay for dogs?
sorry I meant to say she has diarrhea. It’s light brown in color. and she is going to the bathroom about every 3-4 hours.

peptobismol is ok, but for sever diarreha, at first step i say you use yoghurt + rice, it can stop diarreha,.

He’s been on epilepsy meds for a while. Took him to the vet this morning but it’s scary.

If you’ve already taken him to a vet and are waiting on the results, the only advice I can give you is to keep him comfortable and follow the vets advice until you get the results back.

He’s about 35 lbs, small terrier.
Alright, no need to be mean. He’s running around , begging for food and doesn’t look sick. He just has those symptoms. He did get into some food left out by my son, like Crunch and Munch and some candy. He’s gotten into chocolate before and nothings happened though.

my dog is 15, last week he had a bad cough and he was vomiting and had diarrhea, this week he has no cough or diarrhea, but he is not being himself, he is laying down a lot he is still drinking water but not eating. we didn’t want to take him to the vet because we didn’t want them to say we should have him put down. is there anything the vet can do besides that?

You don’t know what the vet is going to say until you go in. If the vet suggests that you put the dog down, then it’s the humane and right thing to do. Keeping a dog alive when he is suffering is abuse.

To begin: I am taking him tomorrow on my lunch break. I was going to try to ride it out, but he seems to be getting worse, not better.

Right now I am seeking advice on what might be wrong or if anyone’s dog has had similar symptoms.

Two weeks ago, I ran out of dog food (Royal Canin, Sensible Choice). My mom “lent” me some dog food (she uses Purina) Riley actually loves the food she lent me, but when I made it out to the store (tough being 8 mos pregnant) I bought more of our regular bi-product free.

Since then, he has had pure liquid, nothing else, coming out of his rear. He is drinking, but not eating. He has energy to play, but also whines & wants to snuggle & sleep more than normal.

He attends daycare during the week. Can dogs get stomach bugs like people can? Could it be a puppy flu or something?

He is almost 2. Oh, he has been eating grass, which I know is a sign of belly ache & helps them feel better. Today he threw up for the first time since this started.

It may very likely be that he caught something at daycare. We get bouts of it at the daycare I work at. It also is very likely that it was the food switch.

she just started doing this today, i know that is a sign of parvo but how can this happen so quick, can dogs catch the flu? Because I just got sick all of a sudden too and my dr said i had the flu. My husband just bought her Friday was taking her to vet this week to get shots should i ask for my money back if she dies? and what else could this be? my other dog isn’t sick and he has been in a cage with her at night so she would not be lonely, should i get him checkd?
# one the question i asked was is it parvo?
# two was should i get the other dog checked out , he isn’t sick.
# three could i have given my little puppy the swine flu because I have it.
# three I have the swine flu and can’t go anywhere and husband won’t be home till late everyday till Friday please don’t fuss on me i’m not dumb just wanna know what I can do till I can get to the vet.

uh, yeah you should get them to the vet, dogs can die of dehydration just like a human can.

She is a Scottish terrier and a floppy hair shih-tzu (lhasa apso/pekingese) about 10LB i gave her 6ml of childrens imodium A-D just 1 minute ago.

If she throws up 1 more time im takeing her to the vet in the morning o and i don’t know if this helps my bro has the flu and no not the swine flu.
ok ill take her to the vet in the morning thanks i cant now unless i take her to the pound.
She is 4 years old not a pup thanks ill call a vet now if i can find one open at 10:50 at night

My dog is 1 year old and a couple months. She has been throwing up, and having watery(light brown(a little redish, ) diarrhea. Im not sure what is causing it. Every once in a while she throws up yellow bile, but thats from the grass she eats. But this time its different its whole food. Im not sure if she has a doggie flu, or she ate something bad. I do not want to go to the vet and pay a big bill and nothing being wrong with her. So i was hoping someone could help. Thankyou.

She is loved and properly cared for.
She got all the shots the vet said she needed.
We asked the vet what shots she needed they NEVER said she needed a parvo shot

Since Saturday morning my dog has had diarrhea and he shakes from time to time and he is vomiting on and off, the most consistent thing is the diarrhea. We were going to take him to the vet but on Sunday he was acting like himself and jumping around so we thought it was just a flu thing and that it was gone. But Now he is back to being sick. We wrap him up in blankets when he starts shaking and then he’ll calm down and fall asleep. Any ideas of what could be wrong, Should he go to the vet?
He is vaccinated for Parvo and he is 4 years old(Just incase that may help)

He’s an Old English Sheepdog and he’s 15 years old. Suddenly during Monday he seemed a little sluggish and yesterday and today he hasn’t ate, barely moves, had really bad gas, and today he had diarrhea a few times. We’re probably going to take him to the vet tomorrow, but just to have a piece of mind now do you think there’s anything seriously wrong with him or maybe just a flu?
