Why don’t stores sell cat and dog cough medicine, they sell anxiety meds, earwar, hairball,conditioner, shampoo, tick and flea, doggie and kitty breath mints, you name it? Why do I have to go to the vets spending $ 300 to let them tell me Fluffie has a cold? Also, the last trip to the vets, cost me $ 450 for my pitbull Max, because not only did they cut his nails, they also brushed and flossed his teeth. Now who in their right mind would floss a pitbull’s teeth. He runs when he’s sees me flossing. And my friend decided he would play a trick, he brought Max his very own floss, I was glad that my money had paid off, because finally I got to see his pearlly whites shine when he smiled.

Answer by missmisschief The reason is probably because it would be too easy for owners to accidently overdose their pets. The doses for those medications are usually based on the weight of the animal. If an owner overdosed their pet and it died, the company that makes the medicine could be sued. It is definately a legal issue, and I feel much safer taking my pet to the vet no matter what (what you see as a cold could be hiding something worse). Really, only a vet should ever dispense medicine for a pet.

LOL, my husband is currently on his way from Iraq and I have a few days to kill and I NEED it to go by quick. I am SOOOO burnt out on cleaning, don’t wanna walk to dogs because there’s a Parvo outbreak in my area, really don’t wanna go anywhere because I’m broke at the moment plus there’s quite a few cases of Swine Flu here so I’m pretty freaked about that with my daughter.
Someone please give me some ideas on how to keep busy! I am so anxious that I keep watching the clock and I’m going nuts! My daughter is also 8 months old this week! I’ve even painted a 3ft by 6ft welcome home banner, I’m out of ideas……

Well, I had my daughter during the deployment and I’ve already worked off the weight.
I also wanted to add that my dog I had to put down due to Parvo was 11 months old
I don’t how but even dogs who have been vaccinated are catching the virus. My dogs are vaccinated and I won’t chance it, I had to put one of my babies down July 2008 due to Parvo, won’t do it.

Everyday I wake up and get out of bed I ache. I ache all day untill I go to bed. Theres is nothing in my routine or life style that has changed to create this aching I have and I can’t tell if its my bones or muscles but its mostly in my main body area. I have thought maybe a vitamin deficiancey but I don’t know what, I started a side job walking this lady’s dogs everyday but that was over a month ago. I do the same chores as always and its nothing excerting. Iv’e ruled out things one by one trying to figure this out. Let me add that I’m not over weight, in pretty good condition, never broke any bones and I’m 46 years old. I do however have high blood pressure, very high blood pressure and don’t take anything for it cause I don’t have any medical coverage so I can’t see a doctor and can’t afford to pay cash for a doctor visit either. I’m fine when I’m sitting or laying down. I ache when I stretch or walk around also. I think its something thats simple cause I’ve been like this for maybe a month now but just need some suggestions or ideas on how to stop this aching. I’m puzzled and would like some help to figure this out yet I know noone can diagnose me through yahoo q & a. What do you think I can do to help myself?

Answer by Pete T I feel that way when my blood sugar gets to high . You can get a blood glucose monitor , lancets and test strips at most drug stores , wally world and such. You can buy that cheaper than a doctors appt. and lab cost . If it is high, there are several web sites that offer advise and how to cook to help control it. Also, on the lighter side , old age is creeping up and causing that with me also . lol

I don’t have any money so I can’t get anyone anything even though my dad offered me like 100$ to get people stuff, I don’t have anyone to talk to, no really close friends. If i did they couldn’t do anything anyway, I told my dad, “nah…..” In the most depressive tone possible, my parents can never tell when i’m depressed, I was moving xmas gifts around a day ago cause i heard mom say something about my “other” little present..and i’m like oh great something stupid again so i am feeling around the wraps trying to decipher what she might be talking about based on the way the object is shaped, Last year she got me a styrofone r/c helicoptor that she paid 40$ for which i’m 16 i don’t play with that **** anyway. She could of got me something useful like a guitar cable or someshit, either way she has no job she doesn’t make any money and the money she does get goes to her cigarettes, she gets it all from dad. The one who got me a 700$ digital camera (yes i pick my gifts) this year, Obviously can’t open it yet. Really don’t care right now.. i’m way to depressed to care about anything.
And if i go take the 100$ and buy **** for him and my mom and maybe som1 else like my dog, which i would have prolly killed myself if he wasn’t alive by now.. i love him dearly.. so if i would of tooken the 100$ I don’t really feel like standing in lines buying stupid **** like music CD”s that suck.. and so forth besides i really donno what to get dad or mom, and i’d basically wasteing dads money plus i owe him 800$ as it is. I know its the thought that counts.. about the r/c chopper thing. I guess she was thinking about how i wanna get a pilots license and **** and i like planes..But i don’t even have a driver license yet, how pathetic am i? I don’t goto school.. i’m 5 years behind in school as it is it would be pointless to go back when i can just skip right to GED classes, anyhow i’m feeling the gifts and i feel something that feels exactly like a stick of deodorant..with my name on it.. How **** up is that? I mean i shower everyday i rarely go outside.. and when i do go out I do wear deodorant if i have any, I don’t have a car so I can’t go out and buy it myself.. besides why would i bother if i never go out? My dad doesn’t wear deodorant and he smells horrible.. if i smelled that bad don’t you think they would buy me deodorant regularly? Instead of being ignorant and have like 10 people there while i’m unwrapping a stick of.. Deodorant..? Thats highly upsetting and offensive to me so i’m prolly just gonna hand it to dad and say its his and then walk up stairs and complain i don’t feel that well. They’ll start flooding me with questions i don’t wanna answer, prolly try to give me hugs and **** which would make it worse. And think its their fault. I can’t kill myself yet.. I still have a few things I need to take care of.. I tried to pet my dog and he tried to bite me.. cause hes in a crabby mood I guess. Currently it does not take much to make me cry so that really sent me to my room in a **** load of tears.. and then i went to sleep only to find out it was hard to sleep so i was up till like 5AM… Finally fell asleep.. but i that didn’t last long cause I was lucid dreaming about nothing the first time and it was like i could see my room but i couldn’t wake up and move around and it was HIGHLY uncomfortable..then I tried going back to sleep and lucid dreamed again about a HUGE brown spider with wings and legs sorta like a giant wasp flying around in my living room and i’m standing 14 ft away from it and its moving toward me and i have nowhere to run and i’m trying to wake up and then it just fly’s into my.. Armpit? wtf..? and then i wake up.. And yeah i’m terrified of spiders.. and then i finally wake up at 3pm and its now 8pm and i feel really drained out and drowsy..and yeah donno what to do. Everyone on yahoo answers keeps telling me to get myself checked out etc.. I havn’t eaten for awhilee, I don’t know if that has any effect to it.. But I just ate 3 eggs and some homefrys and i feel horrible still.

Dreams are weird…other night i had a dream that my dad died, pretty disturbing. I never sleep anyway i hate it, i stay up till like 7am then sleep during the day (no friends and nothing else to do..) so why not.
My depression just slowly faded away, so i don’t know. Maybe that’s what will happen with you.

Question by Stephanie: My puppy keeps peeing uncontrollably and we don’t know whether or not its out of fear. What should we do?
He’s a puppy and we don’t hit him or anything. We’d walk up to him to play with him then pees himself and runs away. He’s been getting the runs lately and we’re not sure if he’s got the stomach flu.. If dogs can get it. We Worried about him and have no clue what the heck to do.

Answer by lızzıε ☮❤ If it’s only peeing himself, it’s not really anything to be concerned about. When we adopted our puppy he peed himself everytime we’d pick him up or even give him belly rubs. Alot of male dogs have excitable peeing when they’re puppies. He’ll grow out of it.
If it starts causing him discomfort, it’s a slight chance he can have a urinary infection, but since he’s a puppy, it’s more than likely him just getting over excited or nervous. Dogs have personalities just like people. )
