Question by Wake N Bake Girl: can humans transmit kennel cough to dogs if they’ve been in contact with an infected dog?
my friends just adopted a puppy, and i let my dog play with it quite a few times. i didn realize that when i adopted him a few months ago, the shelter didnt give him all his shots, i know i should have been more responsible =[
im taking him to the vet tonight because hes had a little cough for about a week now, but my friend is stopping by in a little while….is it possible for him to bring the kennel cough with him and spread it to my dog if he doesnt have it?

My neighbor did it like 2 or 3 weeks ago. And now the dog’s sick, but am not sure if it’s because of the Robitussin.

i’m trying to say only some species can get certain ilness from certain pathogens.
Maybe like dogs cant get the flu…. (i think) vs disease we can all acquire like rabies

like cat aids cannot be passed to a human or dog, Kennel Cough cannot be passed to human or cats

My dog is petrified of sneezing. Whenever someone sneezes he looks at them in fear and runs away temporarily. Also, he sneezes himself whenever he is excited. A lot.

Answer by bloobluis canine flu….well. if it exists…and if the genome can easily mutate to accomodate the human genome…then YEA, HOuston we have a problem.
However, transmission would be tough. Either through *eee sexual fluids, contaminated meat (YUCK) or any form of lving matter form these diseased dogs come into contact with humans…there is ONLY a possibility. NO guarantee. (whether you get infected or not)

My Griffon Bobbie has a habit of waking me and my husband up most mornings by grabbing our head with her paws and licking us awake. Gross to some, but we have gotten used to it and her show of love is too hard to resist. My husband and I are both with flu. Can we give Bobbie our cold?
