SHAKESPEARE: A researcher at Penn State University uses 17th century technology to further science today. Meanwhile, many people seek out his photos to use as art work. Lets take a look. STORY: Schlieren photography offers a view of the invisible; the heat from a flame, the breath of a panting dog, the rapid expulsion of air from a high pressure canister. To many it is art. To Dr. Gary Settles of Penn State University’s gas dynamics laboratory, it’s a form of pure science that has taken up more than 25 years of his career. The schlieren optical system was invented in the 17th century as a system to detect otherwise invisible streaks in glass being used to make lenses. Dr Settles says it was an idea ahead of its time which these days, continues to help advance science. [Dr. Gary Settles, Scientists]: “The schlieren technique’s been around for about 150 years and ever since it started it’s been used in scientific investigation and we’ve learned a lot of things by being able to see the flow; how shock waves form around a bullet, the warm air rising from your body when you cough.” Dr Settles work attracted the attention of the US government in the late 1990s when he proposed the idea of using schlieren imaging to detect the presence of explosives on airline passengers. He came up with, and patented a bomb detection portal. Integrated in what was later called “EntryScan”, it is now in use in airports around the United States. Many people, he says, want to take his images and … Video Rating: 5 / 5

RestoreTheRepublic.com | In this edition of the Reality Report Gary raises concerns about the global pandemic, legislation that is threatening our right to keep and bear arms, and he takes a trip to the gun range to squeeze off a few rounds. TRANSCRIPT Hello, Gary Franchi here for another edition of the Reality Report on Freedom.TV In these troubling times, our second amendment right to own a firearm is becoming more at risk everyday. There are currently two troubling pieces of legislation that threaten one of our most sacred rights set forth by our founding fathers. Several forms of the Ammunition Accountability Act are currently being pushed in 18 states that would require all ammunition to be encoded and taxed, and it would require the creation of a database recording all ammunition made and sold. The bill would also demand that all unencoded ammunition be destroyed by 2011. On top of that, the Blair Holt Firearm Act (HR 45) – introduced by Illinois Democrat Bobby Rush – greatly restricts our ability to acquire firearms to protect ourselves. Remember the words of our founding document, “The right to KEEP and BEAR arms shall NOT be infringed.” With the fear of a global pandemic on the rise-in a society where our very freedoms are on the line- it is important that we are able to arm and defend ourselves. Please visit GunShows-usa.com to find out about gun shows near you. This is urgent America, arm yourselves and be prepared to defend the liberty and freedom that is our … Video Rating: 4 / 5
Here’s Mojo. He’s gotten his nose into god knows what and is sneezing up a storm.
Here’s my 4 yr old Beagle doing his typical wheezing thing. It happens every now and then and I just cover his nostrils and massage his throat to force him to swallow. That always solves it.
Question by Maverick: Help my dog sneezed directly into my eyes?
Hi everyone, was fast asleep until my dog climbs onto my chest and as I open my eyes he sneezes directly into them. I know this is silly but will my eyes be fine?

Question by Wo: I just failed a class at my community college. I want to get into UNT’s Library Science progra. Am I doomed?
Hey guys. I found out today that I failed one of my classes this semester. It was a rough time, I moved across the country and immediately transferred in to this new college. I had to have one of my beloved old dogs euthanized while my husband was gone two weeks on business and I was heartbroken. (I don’t have any friends here yet) Shortly after that, I got a really bad case of the flu and missed a week of school and I missed an exam I didn’t make up and I was supposed to go watch a play that was happening the same time my dog was slipping away. (I take full responsibility for failing, I just didn’t want anyone thinking I’m one of those people who don’t give a crap).
I did fine in my other two classes. I am going to retake that class this summer. I feel so bad. I can’t tell my husband or anything. I am so embarrased. Should I take the class over with the same prof? Will I be able to get into the UNT library and info sciences program? Will I even be able to get into UNT
Best answer:
Answer by Timothy G If by UNT you mean the University of North Texas, than no, you should have no prob em getting into the library and info sciences program if you retake the course and receive an A or B in the course. I would rec commend that you look and see if there is a grade forgiveness for the course you failed. Good luck.

Question by fruitcake: Can the flu virus evolve into a bacterial infection?
There is no question that humans have mutated and changed over thousands and thousands of years. But have we evolved from another species? Dog breeding has proven that new types of dogs can evolve. But could you ever evolve a cat from a dog even tho they have similiar bodies?
No, I don’t have any idea how evolution works or even if everyone defines it the same way.
Az: I have not problem with evolution and I am a Christian. Actually my question was directed more to atheists who want to know why Christians would take a flu shot since the flu virus ‘evolves’.
