Question by Nadia Levassuer: Is it normal for my dog to sneeze a lot?
My dachshund has these little sneezing fits. She will sneeze about five times in a row. Is it possible that she has bad allergy or sinus problems?
It is not something new. She doesn’t do it all the time either, just every now and then.

Question by soccer_rox_94: What’s a normal temperature for a dog?
My poor dog just threw up on my bed and my mom said she feels like she’s running a fever. She knows how to take the dog’s fever but has no idea what the normal temp for a dog would be. She’s a pik-a-poo named zoey (small dog)

Question by Sir Hoochalot: Is it normal for a dog to sneeze when its excited?
My BFF is Pitador’s question got my pondering.
My dog sneezes when he is excited. When he gets up to go for a walk or when we come in and greet him he’ll sneeze constantly for maybe 20 seconds and then stop.
Is this anything to worry about? I’d never even thought about it before until I read the other Q.

Question by hershey: is it normal for a dog to stop eating if he has kennel cough?
I have a puppy 4 months old and he was diagnose with kennel cough he is on antibiotics and cough syrup but he wont eat sometimes i have to give him food with my hands, should i go to the doctor again or is that something normal that happens when dogs have that disease?

Best answer:

Answer by BMTHESPIAN
Kennel cough itself does not generally cause a loss of appetite. However it also does not require antibiotics as it is a virus not a bacteria. Kennel cough can lead to secondary infections that do require antibiotics and can cause a loss of appetite. If this is a new symptom then your dog needs to go back to the vet.

103 or 104 is normal I think. The best way to tell is if their nose is dry. If their nose is wet, they are not running a fever.

Question by tkglovesyou: Is it normal for a dog to have a fever when they are in heat? She is about done, is this normal?
She has also stopped eating and drinking today and she is just laying around. Should I be concerned or is this a normal thing?

Best answer:

Answer by *~ATL Braves Baby Girl~*
No. All of that behavior is NOT normal.. Does it sound normal to you? Obviously not or you wouldn’t be asking now would you?. If you had a fever and couldn’t eat/drink and just felt like sleeping/laying around all day then wouldn’t you go see whats wrong with yourself at the Dr.???

Take her to the VET and soon!.. While you are there, have him SPAY her as well.

Question by Mhari: Is it normal to have crazy dreams when you’re sick?
I am home sick with the flu, and I have had a fever on and off for 2 days. This morning after I got up, and went downstairs and went back to sleep on the couch. The weird stuff all happened between 10:30 and 12:30. I had really crazy dreams! In one of them my family had moved into a new house and we couldn’t figure out where the bedrooms were this house was really weird. All the walls were painted really brightly and the living room had been used as a communist hospital. There were a bunch of secret passageways and random stairs in the house too. In another dream, my dad took me to officemax, and I had a bunch of dog toys with me (my dog was on the couch with me while I was sleeping, would that have anything to do with that?). I stuffed all the dog toys in my coat pocket and my friend’s mom was there with a shopping cart waving. When we went inside it was McDonald’s and 3 of my friends were there, and so was my ex-crush. I couldn’t read the menus on the walls and whenever I tried I fell over. Also apparently we were meeting there before going to our honors choir concert, which was a week ago.
The other weird thing that happened while I was asleep was I think I sort of woke up, but I couldn’t move. I think I opened my eyes and looked around but I’m not sure. I remember thinking I was having a seizure and that I was gonna die. I also remember thinking that my brother told me about this happening to him and that I would have to try to wiggle my toes or something and then I would wake up. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I hadn’t taken any medicine. Could it have been because of the fever?
