Dog Flu Treatment

Question by Anima09: Could my Dog have gotten Kennel Cough from a plant?
we have plants outside the house and they often chew on it when they have nothing to do (talk about boredom). But it wasn’t until recently when my dog started having the coughs. they were chewing on plants a long time and they never had this before.

PS: there was this other dog our neighbor owns and it shows the same symptoms of kennel cough. My dog rarely leaves the house but their dog often comes by to visit (must be a suitor, my dog’s a she) do you think it came from that dog then?

ok your dog must have gotten it from your neighbors dog and also is your dog spayed because that would be a smart thing to do right now.

Question by edie .: Our dog is sick…could it be she ate a leaf off my new house plant?
Its a 6″ tropical upright plant. It doesn’t say what kind it is on the label…we have narrowed it down to a few by looking at pictures on the internet. One we think it my be is a Chinese Evergreen. Our Dog is a German Shepard, she vomited last night and this morning and doesn’t want to eat. She just lays around the house but she still barks when she wants outside. My son has been giving her water with a sports bottle. Would a house plant cause this ? I think it could also be a doggie type flu because she has a drippy eye. HELP!

Many plants are poisonous to dogs and cats.
