Question by lenny: how can you tell if you dog has a fever?
Best answer:
Answer by ‘♥’ Mandie ‘♥’ Stick a thermometer it its rectum. You don’t need a special thermometer either. Just get an oral thermometer that you have, and use that. I would suggest making sure everyone in the house knows that
[ From now on that's the dogs thermometer ONLY lol ]
Your dog’s normal rectal temperature is 100.5 to 102.5 degrees Fahrenheit

Question by חנה: How do I tell if my dog has a fever?
My guide dog isn’t feeling well and I can’t figure out exactly what it is. I think she’s definitely constipated (Lovely, I know.) I’m not sure if I should take her to the vet or not yet, I think not. I’m going to wait it out until tomorrow, but how do I check if she has a fever?
I really hope she doesn’t have to go to the vet >.> I just took her not that long ago for an ear infection (all cleared up!) and this will really really stretch my budget to take her again >.< We'll see tomorrow...

Question by rtillery: how can I tell if my dog has a fever?

Answer by dismayedamerican Usually their nose is both hot to the touch and dry. A vet could probably tell you more but I do remember when my dog had a fever and her nose was hot and dry and her eyes were a bit glassy.
