Question by Why Me?: My dog is throwing up, has diarrhea and is sneezing. Should I even feed him dinner?
He’s about 35 lbs, small terrier.
Alright, no need to be mean. He’s running around , begging for food and doesn’t look sick. He just has those symptoms. He did get into some food left out by my son, like Crunch and Munch and some candy. He’s gotten into chocolate before and nothings happened though.

Question by Brian&Megan: My puppy keeps throwing up!?
I just recently got a 5 month old yellow lab mix and I moved to Florida with him and my other dog. For the first few days he was normal and playful. But the night before last I had taken them on a 2 mile walk. When we arrived back home they were fine just very tierd. The next day the puppy threw up a yellow mucus. I called the vet to get him an appointment, because I was worried he had parvo. They were of no help and can’t see him till next week. So I’ve been keeping him hydrated, and I feed him canned food every few hours. He has the desire to eat and drink but he can’t seem to hold down the food. Today he seems to be doing better, but is still having trouble holding down food. He slept all day yesterday, but today he has more energy and wants to play with our older dog. My question is, how can I help him get better? I have antibiotics for dogs, that I’ve been giving him, and I’ve given him plenty of fluids. It doesn’t seem like parvo, but I’m still worried! Could it be a flu?
I also wanted to add that I’ve been giving him pedilyte and boiled rice and hamburger meat. He doesn’t have diarria or blood in his stool, which is a sign of parvo. So you can see why I’m so confused as to what’s wrong with him! His throw up is no longer a yellow mucus, just the food he’s been eating. This is so frustrating! Please help!
Thanks for all the help! I’m going to stop the antibiotics. I also wanted to add I was very sick with the flu and maybe being stuck in the car with me for all those hours he got something from me.
Well thanks again to everyone for all your help! The puppy is doing fine, and is acting like he was never sick. He’s a 100% again!

Question by Lola: Why Is my dog throwing up?
Well- he throws up yellow stomach acid and saliva cuz he won’t eat. He doesn’t eat cuz he knows he’ll purge. We went to the vet. He had an esterior tumour removed and sone teeth pulled. He ate after the anesthetic wore off- but he threw up te food. Now he won’t eat at all. Still, tho, he throws up. He has the flu- cuz I got him the shot- so he hacks on mucous occasionally.
I put unflavoured Pedialyte in his water so he won’t dehydrate or loose minerals. My vet will just put him on the IV- I kinda wanna know why he isn’t eating and how I could get him to eat and keep it down. He won’t even eat his favorite human food!! He lost a lotta weight- just worried… Peese- person who expirened this or knows about this- answer asap…
He keeps his nose wet, btw

Question by bishi4me: Dog throwing up what looks to be blood, please help me!?
I just called my boyfriend and hes rushing home, hes on the phone with a vet. It takes him 45min to get home so i hope to get some information before he comes home. My german shepard was acting just fine, shes 3 years old and healthy. Suddenly she started gagging and before i got up she threw up and then threw up in a diferent spot. I ran her outside where she puked some more. When i came in to clean it up i saw it was dark red. Its really chunky, and it kind of looks like a smashed up strawberry. It has little red balls mixed with the mass, that has some black in each of them. Odd thing is i just got really, really sick today with the stomach flu and have been throwing up+ diarrhea. Is it possible that we both have the same thing?! Theres nothing red around the house she could have eaten, and she hasn’t eaten all day.

Please dont say “Go to the vet!” because my bf is trying to get a hold of one now i just would like to have some answers fast.

Question by Scene L: My dog is throwing up and having really bad diarrhea. What do i do?
My dog is 1 year old and a couple months. She has been throwing up, and having watery(light brown(a little redish, ) diarrhea. Im not sure what is causing it. Every once in a while she throws up yellow bile, but thats from the grass she eats. But this time its different its whole food. Im not sure if she has a doggie flu, or she ate something bad. I do not want to go to the vet and pay a big bill and nothing being wrong with her. So i was hoping someone could help. Thankyou.
People stop saying rude stop. I do NOT neglect my dog!
She is loved and properly cared for.
She got all the shots the vet said she needed.
We asked the vet what shots she needed they NEVER said she needed a parvo shot

Its probably the food you are feeding him, obviously. Make sure you aren’tt feeding him cheap foods from like pets mart of the grocery store. You would be surprised at what kind of stuff they put in that dog food and by simply changing him to a more natural holistic diet it could change his life. What are feeding?

Question by awake: My dog keeps throwing up…?
She threw up twice this afternoon and it was yellow in colour. It was also kind of stringy, like egg yolk. There was no food bits that came out with it either time and she’s gone to the bathroom (”number 2″) three times in the house today when I wasn’t home and again when I took her out at her regular time and she was whining just now so I took her out and she went again, totalling 5 times which is weird because she’s never gone that many times. Theres been no change in the amount of food I give her. Does she have the flu or something? Is there anything I can do to comfort her right now or to help with whatever she has?
My dog’s a 6 year-old Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie).
