  1. JenVT says:

Dogs don’t really get the flu. He may have eaten something that disagrees with him or may possibly have a blockage. Keep an eye on him and if he doesn’t seem better in the morning, or if he gets worse, give the vet a call and see if they want to have a look.

    take him to the vet

  3. Barb says:

If your pup has been vomiting all day, then it’s time to take them to the vet.

Sometimes a dog will vomit if they chewed on something and they need to rid it from their stomach.

But a dog doesn’t get “flu” like a person. If your dog is continuously vomiting then there is something seriously wrong.

Get that job to the VET without delay!

Do not give your dog any over the counter drugs, if you are that worried, then you should really call your vet

    1) Call the Vet. They can offer ideas even if you cant take him in.
    2) CHECK HIS WATER BOWL

Some dogs will vomit and get weak if they are dehydrated. if you have a lot of people in your house, everyone might assume he got water when he didnt. Also check to make sure nothing has spilled in his bowl! some things like soap or cleaners (even foods) could poison your dog.

    I hope he gets better.

Remove its drinking water and replace it wit the baby non-flavored pediolye, let it drink all it wants. This will replace any electrolytes it has lost during the neausea. Also give your pet a dab of plain honey,or Karo syrup to elevate its sugar level which is probably low from the neausea, this is the reason for the shakes. Also after stomach settles boil some chicken, cut into small pieces, put in blender with small amount of water and puree it.Most dogs will eat this when nothing else. You can also try mixing some rice baby ceral and warm water and sugar and force feed the pet.If pet won’t eat or drink ,you must force feed it,or your pet will get weaker and weaker and possibly die.If no improvement is noted within 6 to 12 hours, depending only if you get the pediolyte and food down it,see your vet
